The limit of the claim

A Vinctura record states that a named person served a stated number of verified hours over a stated period, in a stated place. It is not a licence, an academic qualification, an accreditation, or a statement of competence in any regulated field. Nothing more — and we are willing to be held to every word of it.

Every rank carries a duration requirement alongside its hour count. Anyone can accumulate hours in six weeks of summer. The record says that a person stayed, which is the thing an employer or an admissions committee cannot otherwise observe.

The first eight bytes of the digest become the figure: two of them fix a coprime lobe ratio, which is what makes the curve close into a symmetric rosette instead of an arbitrary tangle. Change one digit of the number and those bytes are unrelated, so the figure is unrelated.

This demonstration uses a public salt, printed in this page’s source. It proves the derivation is deterministic and that adjacent numbers diverge. It does not let anyone produce a genuine plate, because the salt that derives real ones never leaves our server. A demonstration using the real salt would give away the thing it was demonstrating.

Can an employer or university verify a Vinctura record?

Yes. Every record carries a number that resolves to a permanent public page on vinctura.org showing the holder, rank, verified hours, period, region, and the founding member who signed it. No account and no contact with us is required.

Is this a professional accreditation or an academic qualification?

No. A Vinctura record states that a named person served a stated number of verified hours over a stated period in a stated place. It is not a licence, an academic qualification, an accreditation, or a statement of competence in any regulated field.

How many hours are required?

Member requires 40 verified hours across a full season of at least three months. Fellow requires 150 hours across two seasons. Steward requires 400 hours and a year of leading a chapter or a standing shift, and is nominated rather than applied for.

Do records expire?

No. Service happened and does not stop having happened. Each record carries its issue date so a reader can judge recency independently.

Who signs a record?

A founding member, by hand. The verification page names which one, so the signature on the document and the name on the record always agree.
